How many people can the cottage accomodate?
The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people: there are two double bedrooms with kingsize beds (one with an en suite WC); and a separate gallery room with a sofa bed which can be used as a 3rd double bedroom. A travel cot can also be provided if required
There is a family bathroom with roll top bath and shower, and a further WC. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher.
Guests also have their own private garden, off street parking, complimentary wifi, and BBQ.
Are linen and towels provided?
Yes. We provide all linen and towels as well as a few local goodies to help you settle in.
How do I get to the cottage?
Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes drive by car. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. Cycling is also very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route.
Will I need a car?
Most people choose to drive here as a car helps with getting around the countryside and exploring all the local area has to offer. However, if you don’t have a car it’s no problem – you can go on beautiful walks straight from the front door, walk to the local town of Harleston, cycle through the glorious Waveney Valley, or use the regular and reliable buses.
Is the cottage family friendly?
Absolutely! We love having families to stay in the cottage and there are plenty of things to do in the local area to suit all ages. A travel cot is available upon request.
Do you allow pets?
We’re afraid that we don’t allow pets in the cottage.
When is check in / check out?
Check in is any time after 3pm and check out is 11am. However, please let us know if this doesn’t suit you and we can try and accommodate alternative times.
Can I smoke in the cottage?
Guests are kindly asked to respect the strict no smoking policy throughout the cottage.
